There was to be a Policy & Practice meeting with LSC (No LSC rep was there) to discuss how CMBC would meet the requirements of LSC, how does it address Connexions and education agendas.
There is to be a Common Application Process for all yp post 16 education to be applied. Still in development stages and not sure how this will fit with other non school provision as yet.
This was my first meeting. My thoughts on this group were
>the main focus was on the GCSE results across Calderdale.
>the group was very 'schools' led
>They thought that I could represent work based learning too as I was going to a conference on 'Managing the Machinery of change in Work Based Learning'. I stated that my knowledge was e2e, NEET and the VCS. Work based learning included apprenticeships and NVQ's
