Children and Young People's Board
Caldrdale's Children's Trust is a monthly meeting that decides the strategic direction for children and young people's services in Calderdale. It is a multi agency board that consists of statutory partners form the Council, Health and the Voluntary and Community Sector.
Positive Activities Steering Group
This group reviewed its terms of reference and purpose on the 3rd October 2008. Looking at new structure and proposed model for the future delivery and funding of Positive Activities for Young People.
Family Support Strategy Project Board
This is a new group. There is one VCS seat. The group will be supporting the development of a family suppport strategy for Calderdale. This is a key piece of work which supports the Calderdale Challenge and will provide a clear work stream for the objective of focussing on families.
Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service Board
This board looks at the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Calderdale. It is a multi agency board, dealing with a wide range of issues.
Extended Services Advisory Board
This board is focussing on the delivery of extended servicesw in Calderdale including Children's Centres and Extended Schools.
Targeted Youth Support Pilot Group (North Halifax)
Underway in establishing Area Targeted Youth Support Panels, North and East Halifax. Has held four meetings, establishing processes, policy and referral procedures.
Integrated Youth Support Steering Group (IYSS)
This group looks at the development of the Integrated Youth Support in Calderdale and has four locality meetings, held monthly.
Partnership for Young People Learning and Skills
Formerly the 13 to 19 Strategy Group. This is an overarching meeting that covers the Youth Agenda for Calderdale, including integrated youth support and Not in Education Employment or Training (NEET). These meeting are held monthly. There is one VCS seat on this board with a sustitute role.
NEET Strategy Group
This groupfocuses specifically on the Not in Education Employment or Training (NEET) agenda and is a combination of Council, Education and Volutary and Community Sector.
Anti Bullying Steering Group
This group supported the devlopment of the anti bullying strategy for Calderdale. The role of the rep was to ensure that there was VCS representation in all the various workgroups and an overall VCS perspective in the main body of the strategy.
Integrated Youth Support Area Meetings
These multi-agency groups look at the current provision, gaps and issues in youth provision in each locality and will be delivering Integrated Youth Support in Calderdale.
Area Advisory Board Central Halifax
To work in partnerships to support and advise on the deveopment and delivery of children's centre and extended services for children, young people and their families within central Halifax.
Children and Young Peoples Services North and East Halifax Meeting
Primarily a strategic group focused on delivering agreed outcomes for the children, young people and families of NE Halifax.
Workforce Development Strategy Group
Not yet formed.
Parenting Strategy Implementation Group
This group will be responsible for the implementation of the recent parenting strategy that was developed in collaboration with all agencies. This is a short term role with meetings every 6 to 8 weeks.
Safeguarding Board Sub Groups
Joint Commissioning Group
This is a multi agency board that looks at developing tenders and commissioning processes in line with identified outcomes from the LAA and the Chidren's Plan.
MYPlace Partnership Board
This Partnership Board has developed a MyPlace bid for up to £5 million of capital monies, to build a world class youth facility in Calderdale.
