Laura Able and Kala Wild are the Network Development Officers who are based in the centre of Halifax.
Their job is to:
- Communicate with voluntary and community groups in Calderdale
- Check out the range of services offered by groups
- Find out if there are any services that could be provided but are not
- Offer support and guidance to groups
- Develop networks between groups where good practice can be shared
- Help voluntary and community groups to influence decision making
- Help prepare organisations to access new ways of funding
- Identify and support representatives on strategic partnerships
The project aims to increase knowledge, information-sharing, networking and representation to build the capacity of the voluntary/community sector in Calderdale.
